The horse is sound
Dear friends, For this one time I'll write in English. Because this little piece of writing goes out to you guys, who made my stay in New Jersey and these few weeks in Wellington, Florida become an unforgettable experience!This is a moment to thank the people I've met during these 4 months. Work, joy, experience and friendship, it was the perfect mix! This stay in Wellington tasted a little bit like a dessert. I've made some good friends here (thx Alex, Philip, Emma, Ally and Nancy) hopefully one day I see you guys again somewhere to have a great party! Hugo I will not forget you. You're a great person! We've spent a lot of hours in that truck driving up& down to Florida without any discussion, only laughing and telling stories! Thank you for being in New Jersey and helping me through the bad moments We had a good time and did a lot of fun stuff. You taught me some Spanish and I'll try to keep practicing it. Too bad that you didn't make it to Florida, I'm sure there were some nice girls for you here You know you're always welcome in Belgium!Another thing I've learned here is that Costa Rica must be a beautiful country. Because Elias is born there and he truly is a wonderful person and a very good friend. Too bad that we didn't meet sooner, but these weeks in Florida, man, that was great and it would not have been the same without you, BASTARDO !!! You were like my little brother and you made me laugh with your good sense of humour Let me know when you're back in that amazing country of yours, I'll take the plane right away to have a Corona with you!Finally Brendan (Dr. Furlong), some words for you too. At first arriving in the US, I didn' have a clue where I was going to end up. Some clinic somewhere in New Jersey, jeezes, how should I now that I was going to meet and stay with one of the greatest equine vets of this moment?! I was just lucky I guess. I told you already: the things I've seen here and what you've thaught me, is something that would have taken me another ... years in Belgium. The confidence you gave me practicing medicine was verymotivating and encouraging. I knew the moment I was getting in that car, ears and eyes open... You love your job and that is probably one of the reasons why you're so good at it. You work with the greatest horses and riders and you gave me the chance to meet them and to work with them too. I willnever forget that! Thank you for sharing all your knowledge with a young veterinarian and thank you for all the other things I probably forget to mention (there are too many) Whenever you're in the neighbourhood of Brussels, let me know, I'll be happy to invite you for dinner at our place. And Meg(Dr. Mullin) thanks for the hat, that 's a very nice gift and a souvenir I will wear going to clients in Belgium! It's time to move on now, there are some more things waiting for me... Few more weeks in Ocala and then I'm heading back to Belgium again where new challenges will come up! Well, I'm ready for it, I can tell you that! Bye
